History:

Cave Ridge Naturals is a family farm and business located in Horse Branch, KY. The 75 acre property of sacred land was once home to the Adena Native Americans. There are several cliffs and caves located on this unique land that has been in the family since the early 90's. The property is mainly wooded with only a few acres of clear land that has been maintained with small flowers, however it has not seen farming until now.

Began by Karanina Henderson and family, the business blossomed out of pandemic times. Karanina is a therapist who left her profession to begin a new life focused on the benefits of healthy living. She began her professional journey working with children with autism. It was in this work that she understood her life calling was to work one-on-one with people, directly improving their lives. After realizing that her knowledge was limited, she went back to college pursuing an Occupational Therapy Assistant degree with whole person care as the focus. She has spent the past decade dedicated to serving the geriatric population in rehabilitation facilities.

It is now so common to reference how the pandemic has changed our lives. Though it was so rewarding for Karanina to practice professionally, the immense pressure of the pandemic required a new level of reflection. The stars aligned at the beginning of 2021 for Karanina and her husband to sell their beautiful 1800's home in the city and take a giant leap of faith. They moved to the country and started their dream farm.
